- Her Story
Called to Teach, Called to Write
Jo Ann’s love for the Word of God began in a home where Scripture was simply part of daily life. Over decades of teaching, she noticed the same thing again and again: people could quote a verse, yet still feel stuck in the very places that verse was meant to heal.
That gap is what led her to fiction. Her novels place ordinary, relatable characters inside real struggles — shame, betrayal, unforgiveness, fear of intimacy — so readers can see biblical healing at work rather than simply hear it preached.
She holds a doctorate in Christian counseling and has spent her career at the intersection of pastoral care and practical teaching, always returning to one conviction: God’s Word, rightly applied, prospers the whole soul.

Recent Years
New Beginnings in Henderson, Nevada
A move to Henderson brought her closer to her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, and opened a new season of writing and ministry.
